All of the basic techniques of stained glass construction in the copper foil (a.k.a. Tiffany) method will be covered. Participants will learn all of the steps of making a stained glass piece including safety, pattern creation and use, glass selection, glass scoring and breaking, grinding, foiling, soldering, and finishing. Participants will leave with a beginner's set of tools and supplies and a 10" x 10" stained glass project they create themselves. **Participants will chose from a selection of stained glass patterns designed for beginners at the first class meeting**. The $350 course fee includes a kit of essential tools and “getting-started” supplies that participants will use for the duration of the course and keep. Additional glass and supplies can be purchased from the instructor if necessary. Registrants will pay the $200 course fee online and the $150 material fee directly to the instructor on the first day of class (cash preferred, credit acceptable. No checks.) **No materials or instruction will be provided before the materials fee is paid in full.** PLEASE WEAR CLOSED TOED SHOES, A CRAFT APRON/OLD SHIRT, BRING A SUPPLY OF GOOD-FITTING DISPOSABLE GLOVES, AND EYE PROTECTION.
