About the event
The November meeting of CAA Members is important to attend so we can vote on new Officers to start serving in 2026. Then for a special twist on the art demonstration, we asked Kiana Nakamura to share her approach to creating customized dolls. These unique creations use painting, sewing, and sculpting to transform Barbie and similar dolls into custom characters and art pieces.
Kiana brings a wide-ranging collection of experiences and training to create artworks that are different and thought-provoking. She is a historian with a master's degree in Public History, as well as a minor in Physics and an associates degree in Studio Art. She is a longtime fan of theme parks and enjoys chronicling their history and trivia, with a focus on Disney's Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Universal's Dark Universe.
