There is no charge for this paint-along but you must bring your own supplies. 

Nonmembers are welcome! Skill Level:  Intermediate and Advanced  

  • PAINT-ALONG TUTORIAL: How to Paint "Girl with Sailboat" by Edmund Tarbell - Oil Painting Real Time 
  • Hosts: Leanna Griffin and Karla Barney
  • Artist Competency: This is NOT intended to be a beginner class. Intermediate and Advanced skill level advised. 
  • We'll be using this tutorial to paint together:https://www.youtube.com/live/G_GUYVliUFA?si=Oghf5Lyf2NoVsul1   This is a classic impressionistic painting and learning from the masters is a sure way to improve your art.   

During the class you will learn:

  • How to paint impressionistic water
  • How to paint clothing
  • How to paint hair
  • How to paint reflective water
  • How to paint skin tones and much more...

For the class you will need to BRING: 1) A 16" x 12" canvas (roughly 400mm x 300mm) 2) Set of bristle brushes 3) PAINT*  Titanium White, Burnt Sienna, Cadmium Yellow, Cadmium Orange, Cadmium Red, French Ultramarine 4) Painting Knife 5) Fine round brushes 6) 1/4" Soft filbert  *NOTE  from Leanna: In this tutorial, he expects artists to use oil paint. But  I think you could use water-soluble oil paint, or long-lasting acrylics  such as Golden OPEN,  or add slow-drying gel to your regular acrylic  paint.
