Healing Through Art Program Collaboration with the Stephan Center:
We have partnered with the Stephan Center to offer free art classes to youth experiencing loss and grief. The program is called "Healing Through Art" . The classes will be offered on the fourth Tuesday and Wednesday of each month through June 2022. Our first January sessions were taught by Lori Alarcon, which included the "Very Hungry Caterpillar Sponge Painting" for children ages 4-7, followed by "Sally Trace Inspired Abstract Watercolor Resist Painting", for older kids and teens. The art projects for future sessions will vary. Please watch our social media channels and the Stephan Center website for more information in the coming weeks.
Kathryn Duncan will be teaching two workshops covering watercolor painting and mixed media assemblage. Each class will cost $25 and meets on Fridays from 12-2pm. Click to sign up: January 28

The Corona Art Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community arts organization that has been serving the artistic needs of our communities since your participation in our events and donations help us to continue to support visual arts education and enjoyment for free or low-cost to residents of all ages and abilities. We especially need donations to our Adaptive Art classes for kids and adults with special needs. These are taught at the Corona Library 100% by volunteers. We also want to offer more and larger scholarships to art students.
