Happy New Year and Happy 60th CAA!

January Happenings

We hope you had a wonderful holiday season and are enjoying this first week of 2023! This is a big year for the Corona Art Association, and we hope you will join us celebrating our Diamond Anniversary! If you haven't gotten your 2023 CAA 60th Anniversary Calendar yet, let us know, as we still have several waiting for your donation of $15 each or 2 or more for $10 each. Your donation helps CAA continue our nonprofit mission of making art accessible to everyone in our communities!

Our busy crew is still working away revamping the Gallery, and so far, it looks fantastic! We have fresh new paint on the walls and clean and modern new floor covering. We will be holding our January 10th General Meeting for members online on Zoom while we continue to reorganize our space. Members, keep an eye on your email in the coming days for the Zoom link invite. We remain closed to usual activities through January 12.

Take in for the January/February "PLACES TRAVELED" art show will occur 12-4pm, Friday, Jan. 13- Sunday, Jan. 15. Please note that in 2023 a maximum of three art pieces may be submitted by all entrants, including members (this is a rule change from previous years). For more information on our art shows, visit: https://www.coronaartassociation.org/art-exhibit-schedule

So far, we have two art classes scheduled this month and they are available for registration now on our main Events page https://www.coronaartassociation.org/

New and returning members, please fill out an application online and pay your dues before March 1, 2023. Thank you to everyone who has already paid your dues for the year. You will be receiving your membership card and 2023 art show bookmarks in the mail soon!

Looking ahead!

We're excited to begin celebrating our 60th Anniversary beginning with the reprisal of a tradition honoring co-founder, Dominick Frascella. The Dominick Frascella Memorial Art Show will be held on February 10-12, 2023 opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Corona Chamber of Commerce at 3pm on Friday, February 10. The theme for this art show is "Homage to the Masters", where local artists will be exhibiting artwork in the style of a famous artist or recreating famous artwork in their own style.

Please plan on joining us for this special event!
