Week in Review:
CAA and community members joined CAA's Gift Shop coordinator and gardener, Lani Britain, in constructing these gorgeous and fragrant living wreaths last Friday, Nov. 5. Lani used living succulents, rosemary and eucalyptus leaves harvested from her own garden and taught participants how to fashion them around metal wreath forms, and then apply bows and other decorations.
At our General Meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 9, CAA First Vice President Lori Alarcon lead a hands-on demonstration of balloon kiss painting. It was messy, fun, and beautiful! We all had a great time.
Also, the members present chose the artwork that will represent CAA on our 2021 Holiday card. Three members brought in artwork, including Becky Floyd and Janet Griffith, but it was the adorable and festive gnome digitally painted by Kim Mabon that won our hearts. Way to go, Kim!
The winner of the random drawing of the entries from our Day of the Dead sugar skull coloring contest was chosen. 9 year old Evelyn N. will be receiving $20 from CAA! Thank you to all the kids and parents who emailed us photos of your art!
Hand-drawn and painted cards by CAA member Pat Shelko were presented to 4 members of the Woman's Improvement Club of Corona on Tuesday Nov. 9 to mark their 90th+ birthdays. The cards were selected and presented by CAA and WICC member, Shirley Clark.
