Recent Events
At our General meeting on Tuesday, May 10, Sophia Betancourt from Corona Rose Florists demonstrated floral arranging. Members were able to follow along with their own flowers. Look at these beautiful members with their beautiful arrangements! Thank you, Sophia!
On Thursday, May 5, CAA officers Alex & Lori Alarcon and Laureen Pedroza represented CAA at Susan B. Anthony Elementary School in Corona. They passed out literature and sold handcrafted items from our Gallery Gift Shop to kids and their parents.
On Sunday, May 1, community and CAA members joined glass artist and CAA 2nd VP, Becky Floyd, for a special Mother's Day workshop creating miniature mosaic pendants. Becky will be teaching more mosaic and stained glass classes in the coming months.

Take in for our May/June Art show is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, May 13-15 from 12-4pm. The theme is Memorable Events. All CAA members are encouraged to participate, and non-members are welcome. Our next Cricut Club meeting is Wednesday, May 18th at 3:00. Free for CAA members, $5 donation requested from non-members. Bring your Cricut and laptop. All skill levels are welcome at join our Cricut Club!
Kathryn Duncan is will be teaching Watercolor Painting on Fridays from 12-2pm, May 20th, and 27th, and June 3rd, 10th, and 17th. To join the remaining May classes, come to the gallery and pay the drop-in rate of $25 per class, at each class meeting. Registration for the June session is now open online ($70 for all three classes, or $25 each at the door).

We also offer one-time art lessons in the medium of your choice if we have an available artist to work with you, we can host an art activity for your party (e.g., paint and sip, plant party, etc.), we can provide a temporary art exhibit for your business, and more! The Corona Art Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community arts organization that has been serving the artistic needs of our communities since your participation in our events and donations help us to continue to support visual arts education and enjoyment for free or low-cost to residents of all ages and abilities. We especially need donations to our Adaptive Art classes for kids and adults with special needs. These are taught at the Corona Library 100% by volunteers. We also want to offer more and larger scholarships to art students. Even during these pandemic years, we have been able to offer small scholarships to local students graduating from high school who will be majoring in art in college.
