Greetings CAA supporters and friends! Our July-August 2021 edition of the Palette newsletter is now available here:
In it you will find we have a lot going on the next couple of months. Let me bring your attention to a few things. Thursday, July 8 from 3:30pm-5:30pm is our very first Open Studio Mixer in the CAA Gallery. All community artists and patrons of the arts are welcome to visit, talk shop, share ideas, give tips, demonstrate techniques, create or just socialize! We have two more planned for August 5 and 26th as well (same time/place). We hope these Open Studio Mixers serve as a way to make new friends, share, and network. A nominal $3 donation at the door is requested, which includes a snack, soft drink and access to some of our art supplies if needed.
Monday, July 12th, Polly's Pies in Norco is hosting our monthly Dine-Out Fundraiser. Stop by between 4-8pm and show them this flyer so CAA gets credit for your purchase.
Also on Monday, July 12, CAA will be at the third Corona Night Market event. If you haven't come out to one yet, what are you waiting for? There's music, games, food, and vendors. Stop by the CAA booth and say "hi" while you are there!
FOR ART! Our "Summertime" show take-in is coming up on the 16th-18th. In advance of that, our General Meeting is on Tuesday, July 13th from 6-8pm. A demonstration will be made on how to properly prepare your hanging artwork for shows. This will be a nice refresher course for seasoned CAA members, and a great place to start for our newer members and those of you who have been on the fence about entering your work in our bimonthly shows. And lastly, did you know that starting July 1, first-time members can join for HALF-PRICE? That's right, only $20 for NEW adult members for the rest of the Year!
